Privacy Policy

At Resilient Pathways, your privacy, dignity, and trust are respected and protected. As a Registered Social Worker, I am committed to maintaining professional standards of confidentiality and ethical practice in accordance with the Social Workers Registration Board Code of Conduct, the Privacy Act 2020, and other relevant New Zealand legislation and professional guidelines.

Information shared during supervision, consultancy, or professional conversations will be treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to others without your knowledge and consent, except where required or permitted by law.

Confidentiality may be limited where:

• There is a serious concern for your safety or the safety of another person.
• There is a risk of harm to a child, young person, or vulnerable person.
• Disclosure is required by law, court order, or statutory obligation.

There are concerns relating to professional misconduct, unsafe practice, or significant ethical breaches requiring consultation or reporting.

Information is discussed within professional supervision for accountability and quality assurance purposes, with identifying details removed wherever possible.

Record Keeping

I will store any notes or records associated with supervision or consultancy services securely and access them only when necessary for professional purposes. I will take reasonable steps to protect information from loss, unauthorised access, misuse, modification, or disclosure.

Respecting Privacy

Supervision provides a confidential and reflective space to explore professional practice, challenges, ethical dilemmas, learning opportunities, and professional development. Clients, service users, whānau, colleagues, and organisations discussed within supervision should be treated respectfully, and identifiable information should be minimised wherever possible.

Clinical supervision is designed to support reflective practice, professional growth, wellbeing, ethical decision-making, and accountability. While supervision discussions are confidential, supervision is not intended to replace organisational reporting requirements, legal obligations, or professional responsibilities.
